He was just a rookie trooper and he surely shook with fright.
He checked off his equipment and made sure his pack was tight.
He had to sit and listen to those awful engines roar.
You ain’t gonna jump no more.

Chorus:
Gory, gory, what a hell of way to die.
Gory, gory, what a hell of way to die.
Gory, gory, what a hell of way to die.
He ain’t gonna jump no more.

“Is everybody happy?” cried the sergeant looking up.
Our hero feebly answered, “Yes”, and then they stood him up.
He jumped into the icy blast, his static line unhooked.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

He counted long, he counted loud, he waited for the shock.
He felt the wind, he felt the cold, he felt the awful drop.
The silk from his reserve spilled out and wrapped around his legs.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

The risers swung around his neck, connectors cracked his dome.
Suspension lines were tied in knots around his skinny bones.
The canopy became his shroud, he hurtled to the ground.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

The days he lived and loved and laughed kept running through his mind.
He thought about the girl back home, the one he left behind.
He thought about the medicos and wondered what they’d find.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

The ambulance was on the spot, the jeeps were running wild.
The medics jumped and screamed with glee, rolled up their sleeves and smiled.
For it had been a week or more since last a ‘chute had failed.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

He hit the ground, the sound was “Splat,” his blood went spurting high.
His comrades they were heard to say, “A helluva way to die.”
He lay there rolling ’round in the welter of his gore.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

There was blood upon the risers, there were brains upon the ‘chute.
Intestines were a-dangling from his paratrooper suit.
He was a mess, they picked him up and poured him from his boots.
And he ain’t gonna jump no more.

manpowers cannot even catch a limping man in this tiny island state
after more than half a year.

out for you in parliament, but to tell you to tighten the belt, bite

$30k, because that is what you are going to get if your son die while
serving the foreigners.

You voted for PAP, and you get a grand party every year on 9th August
celebrating more salaries for PAP.Not everyone is invited though, you
will still have to ballot for it.

You voted for PAP, and they tell you that there is a corner called
Hong Lim Park where you can go to talk all you want, other than that,
shut up unless you have something nice to say.

You voted for PAP, and you get a world-bottom “nation-building” press
serving you the latest propagandas, regardless of truth.

You voted for PAP, and in order to buy a car, you have to first pay
for a piece of paper that cost more than the car itself.

You voted for PAP, and you must vote for PAP! You cannot even think
about not voting for PAP. Because a certain inaccurate old man said
that he will call in the army if you don’t.

So vote for PAP. Read the list above again, and vote for PAP. Go
ahead, vote for PAP. More good years eh? Vote for PAP. For Swiss
standard of living. Vote for PAP. Mee Siam Mai Hum ok? .

I’m thinking of joining the 25km solo one. Will be the longest distance i’ve ever covered. And, this race will start at the evening, so it’ll be something different, because the last 2 races i’ve took part in, started in the morning. Will see anyone want to join with me or not. :D

I’ve got many things to say

•January 13, 2010 • Leave a Comment

So i’ll just divide what i want to say in parts. This 1st, my result.

L1R5: 13, L1R4: 10. Haven’t minus 1 point off for my CCA. I didn’t expect my maths to get an A2, well miracles happen, and this time, it happened on me. After getting the results, many people say, i should go to a jc instead, but my mind was made up months before. JC is definitely a faster route to university, but i wasn’t i can cope with the stress of JC life. Though i wasn’t really able to decide which poly course i want to enter. 2 choices, international business or banking and financial service. The thing about IBZ, is that you can go overseas every year, and that sounds really attractive. BFS, is something that i know i’ll put into on of my choices. Then after speaking with people, i’ve decided on BFS. Not sure how it’ll go, but i won’t regret. These are my 12 choices, i haven’t submit, because my printer got no ink. :D

1. B&F (NP)
2. IB(NP)
3. B&F(SP)
4.IB(SP)
5.acct(NP)
6.acct(SP)
7.business studies (NP)
8.business admin (sp)
9.biomedical (NP)
10.PJC ARTS
11.HCJC ARTS
12.RJC ARTS

The last few choice, is actually just to fill up the thing, because, i’m pretty sure i’ll be able to get into the course i want.

3 Things.

1st. I’ve been working, for the past few weeks. Work is tiring, boring, but at least you get paid, and you get to learn things. The people at my work place are all very nice. And selling shoes is not easy, you need to find shoes, need to recommend other products, then cashiering…. Imagine, you need to complete a transaction of $200, if the transaction failed, without you noticing it, then you need to pay for it from your own pocket. But it’s fun lah, at least got money.

2nd. I’ve watched Bodyguards and Assassins and Avatar. Bodyguards and Assassins is GREAT. It’s wonderful. The story is nicely plotted. The speed of the movie is nicely paced, and the action scenes for the last 1 hour is WONDERFUL. It’s realistic, and action packed, definitely something i’ll recommend. Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tze were very “into” their roles. Shall not post anymore, don’t want to be a spoiler.

As for Avatar, it’s bullshit. The whole 3D thing is crap, it’s stupid, it’s like a digital remake of The Last Samurai. The CGI is nice, but other than that, the whole movie is shit. Not worth the money. I’d rather stay at home and watch SNSD than watch Avatar. My advice: DON’T WATCH AVATAR.

3rd. I think my feelings for her have faded, i think. Maybe it’s because i didn’t see her for quite some time, or maybe i’ve just simply realized that the world is full of other things for me to care about.

So you want to go to Genting…

•December 22, 2009 • 3 Comments

(i) Rumor – Dead body found under the mattress in a hotel room.
Outcome/effect (action taken by Genting people) – there’s now an unspoken rule that guests who sojourn in a Genting hotel room must never lift the bed and the mattress.

(ii) Rumor – A girl got decapitated while playing Space Shot.
Effect (action taken by Genting staff) – The Space Shot game has been adjusted. Formerly it was shooting a player up at full force and speed but now it’s the opposite where the player is slowly lifted to the top and comes down all of a sudden at furious speed. The meaning of Space Shot is supposed to go up, not the other way. Why do u think they changed the rule of the game? Beats me.

(iii) Rumor – Lots of people say Ria Apartment is haunted.
Effect (action taken by Genting management) – Ria Apartment is no longer available for rent to the public. The apartment has been sold to a private company who only rents to people upon request or special booking and that apartment even serves as free accommodations (or rewards) for the masses who’ve won prizes in some contests.

(iv) Rumor – Numerous people have committed suicide in hotel rooms
Effect / Action – Now all the hotel windows have been adjusted and configured to an extent that you can’t fully open the windows wide enough for a human to climb or go through.

(v) Rumor – Amber Court is haunted
Effect / Action – Though this apartment belongs to the property of Genting, it is never advertised in the newspapers and the Genting website. They’ve kept this place a low profile. Hence, if u wanna rent that apartment, u have to search for that place yourself and place booking on your own or at your own peril! That building is so old … why do the Genting people not bother to renovate that place? Not to mention some abandoned projects (buildings that’re constructed halfway or partially) along the way to Amber Court.

(vi) Rumor – People who went into the Whale’s Mouth at Theme Park disappeared. Some say it’s a portal to hell and eternal torment.
Effect / Action – The Whale’s mouth has been shut down and sealed to this day.

Some hoots over the past 2 days
